Sylhet Division is the northeastern land portion of Bangladesh bordered by the Indian states of Meghalaya, Assam, and Tripura to the north, east, and south respectively. Due to this connecting lands with Assam and Meghalaya Sylhet has a very temperate climate all year round.

Sylhet has a world-famous identity for its world-class tea production. The biggest part of the tea gardens in Sylhet is cultivated in the hill tracks of Sreemangal. That’s why Sreemangal is entitled to the tea capital of Bangladesh. The most extensive tea garden in the world is present here in Sreemangal.
There are also pineapple, rubber, and lemon gardens aside from the tea gardens in the city. The most charming look of Sreemangal can be seen during the rainy season. The forest area is well-conserved so you can safely enjoy trekking and walking in the jungle. There are also deer, wild chickens, squirrels, pythons, endangered hoolock gibbons, capped languors, slow loris birds, snakes, banana spiders, etc.
Lawachara National Park is an important national park and nature reserve in Bangladesh. The park is located at Kamalganj Upazila, Maulvi Bazar District in the Sylhet division of the country. This forest has an area of 2,740 ha (27.4 km2) inside the West Bhanugach Reserved Forest.
The Lawachara Rain Forest was declared a national park by the Government of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 7 July 1996 under the Wildlife Act of 1974.

Satchari National Park is a national park in Habiganj District, Bangladesh. After the 1974 Wild Life Preservation Act, in 2005 Satchari National Park was built on 243 hectares (600 acres) of land. Literally 'Satchari' in Bengali means 'Seven Streams'. Seven streams are flowing in this jungle, and the name 'Satchari' came from there.
The name satchari means “Seven streams” being a reference to the streams flowing through the forest, providing plenty of water for the lushly evergreen forest and flora and fauna. It is a superb slab of tropical forest with a higher diversity of plants and animals. There are some marked walking trails, several streams, some hoolock gibbons, otters, jungle fowls, pygmy woodpeckers, and orient pied hornbills in this forest.

Madhabkunda Waterfall is located in Barlekha Upazila in the Moulvibazar District of Sylhet Division. This is renowned as one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. The waterfall is a famous tourist attraction in Bangladesh. Big boulders, the surrounding deep forest, and the aside streams attract many tourists for picnic parties and day trips at the location.
The Madhabkunda Eco Park (est. 2001) has a land area of around 267 hectares, this is also situated nearby. This area was declared an Eco Park in 2001 to conserve the Madhabkunda waterfall and surrounding biodiversity. The Madhabkunda Waterfall is the most attractive feature of the Eco Park which is about 200 ft. (61 m) high from the land. A group of the ‘Khasia’ tribe are the old residents of the forest villages of this area. They do some agro-economic activities in the forestland for their living.

Tanguar Haor is known to be one of the largest natural water reservoirs in South Asia. Based on its diverse natural and aquatic characteristics, it has been declared a Ramsar site by IUCN.
